Bio

Sarah Louisa Castellanos, native of Boston, Massachusetts has been performing as a flamenco soloist and collaborator for the last fifteen years. Moving to Maryland as a child, she began her studies in Flamenco with the late Ana Camargo. She continued her Flamenco education with Anna Mendez, performing in Ms. Menendez’ group “Pastora”, and later with Edwin Aparicio in Washington DC, as a member of the critically acclaimed company “Flamenco Aparicio”. Sarah also took part in many Tablaos and concerts as a featured artist and choreographer along the East Coast. Sarah studied in the U.S. and abroad with Manuel Linan as well as Carmela Greco, Domingo Ortega, Omayra Amaya and Alphonso Losa, among others. This year Sarah relocated to Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, Nathan and their two daughters. She is currently teaching as well as performing in the greater Phoenix area.
